Design & Detailed Engineering

Integrated Engineering Solutions for Industrial Projects

Our Design & Detailed Engineering services provide practical, coordinated engineering solutions for industrial projects. We convert project requirements, equipment data, technical specifications and site conditions into engineering designs suitable for fabrication, construction, erection and commissioning. Our scope includes mechanical, structural, piping, pressure equipment, plant layout, 2D drafting, 3D modelling, analysis and detailed engineering documentation.

We follow a multidisciplinary approach, coordinating mechanical equipment, piping, structures, plant layout, supports and fabrication requirements. This helps identify design conflicts early, improve constructability and reduce rework. Our engineering workflow is supported by industry-standard software, including STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, PV Elite, ANSYS, CAESAR II, Tekla, Navisworks, Inventor, Plant 3D, PDMS and SAP2000.

Design & Detailed Engineering

STAAD.Pro — Structural Analysis & Design

STAAD.Pro is used for structural analysis and design of industrial steel structures such as pipe racks, equipment supports, platforms, access structures and industrial frames. Our engineers consider project loads, equipment loads, piping loads, wind, seismic effects and other applicable conditions to evaluate structural strength, stability and serviceability.

AutoCAD — 2D Drafting

AutoCAD is used for accurate 2D engineering and fabrication drawings. Our work includes general arrangement drawings, equipment drawings, piping layouts, structural drawings, fabrication details, sections, elevations, support drawings and as-built documentation.

SOLIDWORKS — 3D Mechanical Design

SOLIDWORKS supports detailed 3D modelling of mechanical components, equipment, assemblies, skids and fabricated parts. 3D modelling helps review dimensions, fit, accessibility and interfaces before fabrication and provides a basis for detailed manufacturing drawings.

PV Elite — Pressure Vessel Engineering

PV Elite is used for pressure-vessel design and evaluation, considering vessel geometry, pressure, temperature, materials, thickness, nozzles and supports. The vessel design is coordinated with piping, structural supports, equipment orientation and plant layout to develop a complete engineering solution.

ANSYS — Engineering Analysis

ANSYS supports advanced numerical analysis for complex mechanical and structural applications. It helps evaluate stress, deformation and other engineering responses and can support design improvement where detailed simulation is required.

CAESAR II — Piping Stress Analysis

CAESAR II is used for piping flexibility and stress analysis. Our engineers evaluate thermal expansion, pressure, weight, support reactions, equipment nozzle loads and other applicable conditions to develop piping systems that are flexible, safe and practical.

Tekla — Structural Detailing

Tekla supports detailed 3D structural modelling and steel detailing. Structural members, connections, plates, bolts and other fabrication components can be developed into detailed fabrication and erection documentation.

Navisworks — 3D Coordination

Navisworks is used to combine multidisciplinary 3D models and identify clashes between equipment, piping, structures, platforms and other systems. Early clash detection helps reduce modifications during fabrication and construction.

Plant 3D & PDMS — Plant Engineering

Plant 3D and PDMS support detailed 3D plant modelling of equipment, piping and structures. They help review plant arrangement, accessibility, maintainability, constructability and multidisciplinary interfaces before construction.

Integrated Engineering Workflow

Our key strength is the integration of these software platforms within one coordinated engineering workflow. Mechanical models support plant and piping design, structural systems are analysed and detailed, piping is checked for stress, and complete 3D models are reviewed for clashes. Engineering drawings and fabrication documentation are then developed from the coordinated design.

Mechanical Erection & Installation

Precision Execution for Complex Industrial Equipment and Plant Systems

Mechanical Erection & Installation is a critical part of industrial project execution. RTS provides safe and accurate installation of equipment, piping and mechanical systems, from equipment handling and positioning to alignment, inspection and commissioning support. Our work is carried out in coordination with approved drawings, project specifications and site conditions.

We support the installation of static and rotating equipment, including pressure vessels, columns, reactors, tanks, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, blowers, gearboxes, skids and packaged systems. Our scope includes equipment receiving, inspection, lifting, shifting, positioning, leveling, alignment, anchoring, assembly, mechanical connections and testing.

Mechanical Erection & Installation

Heavy & Oversized Equipment Handling

For heavy and oversized equipment, we support planned lifting and handling activities considering equipment weight, lifting points, center of gravity, crane capacity, lifting radius, access, ground conditions and surrounding structures. Each lifting activity is carefully coordinated to ensure safe movement and accurate final positioning.

Static Equipment Installation

Static equipment installation requires careful attention to foundation condition, anchor bolts, elevation, orientation, verticality, nozzle direction and maintenance access. RTS verifies these critical points during installation to ensure that equipment is correctly positioned and ready for piping and other connected systems.

Rotating Equipment Alignment

For rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, motors, turbines and gearboxes, precision alignment is particularly important. Our installation activities include leveling, baseplate checks, soft-foot checks, shaft and coupling alignment, and verification of piping connections. Alignment is carried out according to applicable equipment and project requirements.

Multidisciplinary Coordination

Mechanical equipment must also be properly coordinated with piping and structural systems. We check equipment nozzles, pipe connections, supports, platforms, access areas and maintenance clearances to help prevent interface problems and unnecessary site modifications.

Brownfield & Revamp Works

RTS also supports equipment replacement, relocation, revamp and brownfield installation works. Existing plants can present challenges such as restricted access, operating equipment, limited lifting space, foundation deviations and differences between drawings and actual site conditions.

Commissioning Support

Our services can continue through mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning support. We assist with final inspections, punch-point closure, alignment verification, equipment checks and other activities required to prepare installed systems for commissioning.
